Katz Gluten Free Desserts - Thumbz Up!

Back in February, I reviewed Katz Gluten Free.  I still think about that fluffy Challah bread with fondness, especially after toasting yet another slice of dry, cardboardy gluten free bread.

Recently, Katz asked me to review some of their sweets.  First, I dove into the Cinnamon Rugelach.  Mmmm...crispy, sugary, cinnamony (is that even a word?)...I'm not Jewish but OY, these treats were delicious!

Next came the Chocolate Strip.  I wasn't really sure what to do with this at first--is it bread?  Is it dessert?  Once I got over my confusion, I sliced it and shared it with my family.  It is perfect with coffee or tea.  Not super heavy or sweet like cake; more like a coffee cake, filled with just enough rich, dark chocolate.

The chocolate cupcakes arrived naked...all the better to frost them with, my dear!  Try icing them with a thick vanilla buttercream, or a creamy peanut butter frosting.  Not that they really need any covering...these rich, chocolate cakes can handle a simple dusting of confectioner's sugar.

Katz Gluten Free has tons more goodies on their site...check them out!  I know you'll find some family favorites there - for everyone, not just the gluten free!
